ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Study on Directional Drilling Coupling Dynamics Based on Drill String Rotary Controller
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In the process of long horizontal well in directional drilling, serious contact between drill string and wellbore leads to weight on bit loss. Therefore, this paper proposes a drill string rotary controller (DSC) for ...
Exact Solutions of Systems of Nonlinear Time-Space Fractional Partial Differential Equations Using an Iterative Method
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Fractional partial differential equations are useful tools to describe transportation, anomalous, and non-Brownian diffusion. In the present paper, we propose the Daftardar-Gejji and Jafari method along with its error ...
Dual Function Matrix Projective Synchronization for Fractional-Order Hyperchaotic Systems
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: It is well known that the variability and complexity of projection proportionality factors of dual projective synchronization (DPS) can effectively enhance signal confidentiality. However, in most literatures, the ...
A Python Implementation of a Robust Multi-Harmonic Balance With Numerical Continuation and Automatic Differentiation for Structural Dynamics
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This work presents a tool that performs simulations in nonlinear vibration analysis. It can be used to appraise the structure's functionality and to determine the loading effects. Oscillations are fundamental in nature, ...
Period-1 Motions to Twin Spiral Homoclinic Orbits in the Rössler System
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, period-1 motions to twin spiral homoclinic orbits in the Rössler system are presented. The period-1 motions varying with a system parameter are predicted semi-analytically through an implicit mapping method, ...
Joint Special Issue: Design and Control of Responsive Robots
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Robots are complex controlled dynamical systems interacting with their environment. Agile robotic systems have been penetrating almost all industrial sectors as the backbone for industrial automation, ranging from heavy ...
Computational Analysis of Fractional Liénard's Equation With Exponential Memory
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The fractional model of Liénard's equations is very useful in the study of oscillating circuits. The main aim of this article is to investigate a fractional extension of Liénard's equation by using a fractional operator ...
Fractional Dynamics and Analysis of Coupled Schrödinger-KdV Equation With Caputo-Katugampola Type Memory
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Fundamental purpose of the current research article is to analyze the behavior of obtained results of time fractional nonlinear coupled Schrödinger-KdV equation, via implementing an effective analytical technique. In this ...
A pnh-Adaptive Refinement Procedure for Numerical Optimal Control Problems
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents an automatic procedure to enhance the accuracy of the numerical solution of an optimal control problem (OCP) discretized via direct collocation at Gauss–Legendre points. First, a numerical solution is ...
On Practical Aspects of Variational Consistency in Contact Dynamics
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Usage of contact mechanics methodologies is a pervasive modeling requirement in dynamic simulations. While for some trivial problems, solutions taken from analytical geometry are available, use of a finite element framework ...
