Abstract: The governing equations for a flexibly mounted stabilized platform are derived and solved using digital simulation. Theoretical predictions for the static and dynamic performance are compared with experimental results. This leads to a study of the effects of modifying the control system to improve stability and steady-state positional accuracy.
