ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3–Ag Composite Cathode for Intermediate-Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The composite electrode of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF) and Ag was examined as an air electrode for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells. Two types of LSCF/Ag composite electrodes were ...
Interconnection and Sealing Using Silver Metal for Honeycomb SOFCs
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An interconnection and sealing method used for stacking the electrolyte-supported honeycomb solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is presented. The honeycombs were made of 3mol% yttria partially stabilized ...
Numerical Determination of Two-Phase Material Parameters of a Gas Diffusion Layer Using Tomography Images
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, we give a complete description of the process of determining two-phase material parameters for a gas diffusion layer: Starting from a 3D tomography image of the gas diffusion ...
Demonstration of a 4-Cells SOFC Stack Under Different Experimental Conditions
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Forschungszentrum Juelich (FZJ) has developed over the past years a well-known SOFC stack technology for a planar cell configuration. 1.5mm thick anode supported large-area cells based on a ...
Flow, Transport, and Reactions in a Thin Layer Flow Cell
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The performance of fuel cells depends on the rate parameters of the kinetic reactions between the involved species, among other conditions. The determination of these parameters is crucial for ...
Thermodynamic Analysis of Direct Steam Reforming of Ethanol in Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Fuel cell as molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) operates at high temperatures. Thus, cogeneration processes may be performed, generating heat for its own process or for other purposes of steam ...
Ag–Cu–Ti Braze Materials for Sealing SOFCs
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Two Ag–Cu–Ti brazing alloy compositions were studied as gas seals for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Yttria-stabilized zirconia pellets were bonded using Ag–35.25Cu–1.75Ti (Cusil-ABA) or Ag–20.1Cu–1.0Ti ...
A Metric for Characterization of Multifunctional Fuel Cell Designs
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The U.S. Army has investigated a variety of multifunctional designs in order to achieve system level mass and/or volume savings. One of the multifunctional devices developed is the multifunctional ...
Effect of Dy3+ on the Microstructure and Electrical Properties of Ce0.8 Sm0.2−x Dyx O1.9 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) Electrolytes for IT-SOFC
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: High-quality nanosized Ce0.8 Sm0.2-x Dyx O1.9 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) powders were successfully synthesized by solution combustion method. Calcined Ce0.8 Sm0.2−x Dyx O1.9 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) powders and ...
