ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Green-State Micromilling of Additive Manufactured AISI316 L
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Additive manufacturing (AM) of metal offers matchless design sovereignty to manufacture metallic microcomponents from a wide range of materials. Green-state micromilling is a promising method that can be integrated into ...
Micro-Abrasive Water Jet and Micro-WEDM Process Chain Assessment for Fabricating Microcomponents
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The capability to manufacture high-precision components with microscale features is enhanced by the combination of different micromanufacturing processes in a single process chain. This study explores an effective process ...
Debinding and Presintering of High Aspect Ratio Microbi-Lumen Tubes Produced by Extrusion of 17-4PH Feedstock
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Recent developments have showcased that micro-extrusion of feedstock can be used for manufacturing metallic microbi-lumen tubes with very high length-to-diameter aspect ratios, which are not viable by conventional metal ...
Effect of Feedstock Properties on Extrusion of High Aspect Ratio Microbi-Lumen Tubes
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The micro-extrusion of feedstock is a promising and emerging technology for manufacturing very high length to thickness aspect ratio metallic microcomponents which are not feasible for conventional metal processing ...
Special Issue on Remote Micro- and Nano-Manufacturing Science, Engineering, and Education
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: We are living through challenging times. A global pandemic has forced us to adapt to new ways of living, working, relating, teaching, and conducting research. Our micro-manufacturing community is presented with unique ...
