description abstractIn an earlier publication, generalized equations of motion were presented for the dynamic analysis of elastic mechanism systems. In a subsequent work, Part I of this paper, an approach to the solution of the equations of motion and applications were presented. This paper, Part II of two companion papers, presents an experimental investigation of an elastic four-bar mechanism. The experimental four-bar mechanism coupler and follower strains help to verify those determined analytically. The strains are shown to compare very well in both amplitude as well as frequency content.
