    Abstract: The governing equations for adiabatic desiccant dehumidifiers were linearized and solved. The linear model used applies both to the fixed bed type and to the rotating type dehumidifiers. The solutions obtained are compared with the numerical nonlinear solutions for a broad range of operating conditions and found to agree very well. The saving in computing time by using the linear model is very significant.
