    Lubrication Flow of a Particle-Fluid Mixture

    Source: Journal of Applied Mechanics:;1979:;volume( 046 ):;issue: 001::page 211

    D. A. Drew
    DOI: 10.1115/1.3424501
    Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
    Abstract: The lubrication approximation is derived for a dilute particle-fluid mixture. The resulting equations are solved for the simple geometry of a flat plate slider bearing. The particles tend to avoid the upper plate, especially near the outlet.
