Abstract: In this paper Mr. Sherman traces the history of the ASME Fuels Division. He describes the founding and the early years of the Fuels Division and recalls the various meetings sponsored by the Fuels Division; he then describes the advances in fuels technology that have occurred since the formation of the division. Mr. Sherman is a contemporary of most of the persons mentioned here, and the paper is sprinkled with personal items relating to the stalwarts of the Fuels Division.
