| description abstract | Experimental measurements of the time scale τ(t ) of the burst phenomenon are reported for laminar-transitional turbulent, fully developed, pulsatile flow in a channel. Theoretical predictions for τ(t ) which are developed on the basis of a quasi-steady surface renewal formulation are shown to be in good agreement with the data. | |
