ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Performance and Emission Characteristics for Karanja Biodiesel Blends Assisted With Green Hydrogen Fuel and Nanoparticles
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Extensive efforts are being made to produce and use a variety of alternative energies in order to meet the rising global energy demand. The main purpose of this research was to evaluate the mass fuel burnt, emissions, and ...
Particles Transportation and Deposition Behavior During Horizontal Wellbore Exploitation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Particles deposition and plug-in wellbore cause lots of damage and efficiency reduction during oil and gas exploitation. Transportation has been a focus for safety and production improvement. The annular flow field and ...
Reduction of Pressure Pulsation for Pump-Turbine by Variable Speed Operation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Variable speed operation has emerged as a key direction in the development of pumped storage technology. Maintaining pressure pulsation within the control range is particularly critical for ensuring operational safety of ...
Experimental Investigation of Preformed Particle Gel and Alkali-Surfactant-Polymer Composite System for Enhanced Oil Recovery in Heterogeneous Reservoirs
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Heterogeneity is a significant feature of the reservoirs after polymer flooding, resulting in challenges for further enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in heterogeneous reservoirs. In order to further improve oil recovery in the ...
Prediction of Liquid Holdup in Horizontal Gas Wells Based on Dimensionless Number Selection
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Pressure gradient prediction is crucial in gas well analysis. The experiment is the most effective method of understanding the flow characteristics in horizontal gas wells. The greatest difference between experimental and ...
A Modified Model to Predict Liquid Loading in Horizontal Gas Wells
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Liquid loading is inevitable during mature gas-well production, leading the liquids to accumulate at the bottomhole and additional pressure loss. Accurately predicting the liquid-loading initiation is crucial to gas-well ...
Special Section on ASME 16th International Conference on Energy Sustainability (ES 2022)
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Energy Sustainability is of paramount significance for ensuring the well-being of the present and future generations of the earth’s inhabitants. The growing population, limited potential of conventional sources of energy, ...
SARA Characterization and Comparison for the Ultra-Heavy Oil via Combined Analyses
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Structure characterization and comparison of the ultra-heavy oil and its four components are fundamental and crucial. In this work, nuclear magnetic resonance analyses were employed to quantitatively investigate carbon and ...
Experimental Investigation of Biohythane Performance on Thermal Barrier-Coated Compression Ignition Engine
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The performance, combustion, and emission parameters of a thermal barrier-coated (TBC) compression ignition (CI) engine were experimentally examined using biohythane (biohydrogen + biomethane) as leading fuel and diesel ...
Investigation of Hydraulic Conditions and Shape of Flip Bucket Spillways on Cavitation Phenomenon by Considering Dynamic Pressures
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Cavitation is one of the destructive phenomena which occurs in hydraulic structures and can cause considerable damage to them. This phenomenon is likely to take place in parts of hydraulic structures where the flow velocity ...
