ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Unsteady Pre-Stall Behavior in a Centrifugal Compressor With Vaned Diffuser
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Unsteady pre-stall behavior in a centrifugal compressor with a vaned diffuser was investigated by experimental and numerical analysis. The pre-stall disturbances occurred at a slightly higher flow coefficient at the stall ...
A Method for Preliminary Design of Variable Geometry Vaned Diffuser for Centrifugal Compressor
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Centrifugal compressors require a wide operating range as well as high efficiency. Typical active control forms to enhance the operating range are suction throttling with a valve in a suction line, discharge throttling ...
Adaptive Tracking Control of Robotic Manipulator Subjected to Actuator Saturation and Partial Loss of Effectiveness
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper introduces an adaptive control design tailored for robotic systems described by Euler–Lagrange equations under actuator saturation and partial loss of effectiveness. The adaptive law put forth not only retains ...
Reviewer’s Recognition
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board of the ASME Journal of Turbomachinery would like to thank all of the reviewers for volunteering their expertise and time in reviewing manuscripts in 2023. Serving as reviewers for ...
