ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

The Design of a Virtual Prototyping System for Authoring Interactive Virtual Reality Environments From Real-World Scans
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Domain users (DUs) with a knowledge base in specialized fields are frequently excluded from authoring virtual reality (VR)-based applications in corresponding fields. This is largely due to the requirement of VR programming ...
Assistive Sensory Feedback for Trajectory Tracking in Augmented Reality
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In recent years, Augmented Reality (AR) has been successfully applied in various fields to assist in the execution of manual tasks. However, there is still a lack of a complete set of criteria for interface design for ...
A Global Correction Framework for Camera Registration in Video See-Through Augmented Reality Systems
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) enhances the user’s perception of the real environment by superimposing virtual images generated by computers. These virtual images provide additional visual information that complements the real-world ...
Augmented Reality Interface for Robot-Sensor Coordinate Registration
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Accurate registration of Cartesian coordinate systems is necessary to facilitate metrology-based solutions for industrial robots in production environments. Conducting coordinate registration between industrial robots and ...
