description abstract | It has been difficult for users to compare gas turbines produced by different manufacturers due to different approaches used in specifying terms and operating modes. This paper describes standard ratings and commonly used performance indicators, the dependence of these data on ambient conditions at the site of the gas turbine, and on the manner in which the machine is operated. This paper is one of a series of ASME papers (see Appendix) which present a proposed Gas Turbine Procurement Standard. Comments and suggestions would be welcomed by the authors in order to improve this material and hence result in a more usable Gas Turbine Procurement Standard. | |
