| description abstract | A Symposium on Modeling and Simulation of Turbulent Flows was held in memory of Professor Charles G. Speziale at the 4th ASME/JSME Joint Fluids Engineering Conference on July 6–10, 2003, in Honolulu, Hawaii. This special issue consists of a collection of papers presented at that conference. We are grateful to the Editor of the Journal of Applied Mechanics, Professor Robert McMeeking, for dedicating a special issue of the Journal to selected papers from that meeting. Charles served as an associate editor of JAM, and it is only appropriate that this collection of selected papers in his honor appear among the pages of this prestigious Journal. | |
