An Analysis and Improvement of the Predictive Control Integrating Component

Abstract

This paper presents a basic review and explanation of the predictive control, discusses the inherent problems with the integrating component of the predictive control, and recommends some initial modifications to greatly improve its performance. Some examples are presented at the end of the paper to verify that the modifications to the integrating component do, indeed, enhance the predictive controller’s performance.
