Abstract: Tests are described on a bidirectional fluidic flowmeter for respiratory measurements using the principle first described by Tanney. Good dynamic response and acceptable linearity is achieved over most of the very wide flow range conditions encountered in respiratory flow measurements. A flow range of 380 litres/minute with a signal-to-noise ratio of 150 and a transient rate flow change of 14,500 litres/minute/second were measured for the best flowmeter configuration.
