| description abstract | It is shown that the steady-state response such as temperature efficiency and number of heat transfer units have a direct relation with the dynamic response such as stability region of the PI control system. These relations are also explained by showing the physical meaning of the spatial weighting function presented by the authors. The theoretical results have also been confirmed by experiments. It is emphasized that the heat exchanger should be designed to have the excellent performance both at the steady state and the dynamic state. | |
