description abstract | The structural response of a part-span shrouded fan due to an aerodynamic excitation was measured using strain gages. The excitation was provided by means of a 4-lobed distortion screen mounted upstream of the rotor. Vibration measurements made with tuned and mistuned conditions at integral order speeds have been analyzed to determine the aeromechanical response charcteristics of the assembly. The results from the experimental investigation are presented and discussed. | |
