description abstractThis paper presents methods of analysis for single-branch and multibranch piping systems undergoing temperature change. The branches may occupy any position in space and the joints may be free to translate in any direction. Illustrative examples are completely worked out for both planar and three-dimensional systems, including branches with portions which are skewed with respect to any system of orthogonal planes.
