description abstractThis paper deals with the analysis of the tracking errors of a self-contained solar tracking system that is totally powered by solar energy. The effect of the different design parameters of the system on its tracking error is studied in detail, in an attempt to define the important factors that influence the system’s performance. The obtained results present valuable design guides for this class of tracking system.
