description abstractThe exact solution for the fields radiated from a circular dislocation loop expanding in its own plane with constant velocity is obtained in terms of elliptic functions of different kinds. The solution is used to obtain the contribution of small disloction loops to the decay of the leading wave front of a wave propagating in an elastic solid containing dislocations. It is found that the loop curvature can contribute to the decay in the leading term.
