    Abstract: The dynamic response of a d-c separately excited motor coupled to a general four-bar linkage is investigated. The analysis is formulated by the principles of analytical mechanics resulting in first order equations with first order constraints and undetermined multipliers with their derivatives. The constraint equations are based on the velocity ratio equations rather than the commonly used loop equations. An example is presented.
