description abstractAnalytical investigation of a half plane weakened by a finite crack is considered. The crack is placed perpendicularly to the stress-free boundary of the half plane. The surfaces of the crack are loaded by a uniform pressure with Heaviside-function time dependence. In the Laplace transform domain, Fourier transformations are utilized to reduce the problem to the solution of a pair of dual integral equations which are solved by using the series expansion method. The Laplace inversion of the dynamic stress-intensity factors is carried out numerically.
