    Abstract: The simulation of cardiovascular dynamics with the all-pneumatic artificial ventricle system as a replacement of the myocardial function is presented. The paper describes the mathematical models used in the study, and gives data that illustrate the effects of an artificial heart system on the hemodynamics of blood circulation. The results also show the regulation behavior of the pneumatic system as the vascular resistances are varied dynamically to double or half their normal values. The mathematical procedure described in the paper is a potentially powerful tool for the study of cardiovascular dynamics with an artificial heart to assist circulation.
