description abstractThe dynamic problem presented here is for an infinite elastic medium weakened by two coplanar Griffith cracks in which a self-equilibrated system of pressure is varied harmonically with time. The problem is reduced to dual integral equations and solved by a series-expansion method. The dynamic stress-intensity factors are computed numerically.
