    Abstract: Experiments were undertaken to determine the effect of cavitation on the discharge coefficient of venturi tubes of Herschel type, and on additional limitations that must be applied to existing standards governing dimensional proportions of these venturi tubes in order to hold deviations in reading down to within limits allowed by standards.
