    Abstract: This paper reports analytical and experimental investigations on the static performance of warren beams in torsion. The theoretical results have been found to be in good agreement with the experimental values. The proposed theoretical model has further been used to obtain optimized proportions for the warren beams in terms of stiffness/weight criterion.
