Abstract: A model for the variation of lubricant viscosity in a concentrated contact and a graphical method for determining the reduction of effective viscosity of a lubricant due to insufficient time in the contact zone has been presented in [1]. Design equations are now developed for the effective viscosity which are more convenient for use in numerical procedures.
