description abstractThe Gem turboshaft engine designed specifically for helicopter application has provided challenges both in performance development and analytical techniques. A number of the more interesting component performance problems are discussed in this paper, together with the analysis techniques developed to meet the requirement for consistent and accurate assessment of turbine operating temperature.
