description abstractTwo finite-element displacement models are presented for the analysis of clamped and simply supported skew and rectangular sandwich plates subjected to uniformly distributed loads. Each finite-element model consists of subelements representing the skins and core of sandwich plates. The parameters considered in this investigation are the aspect ratio of the plate, Poisson’s ratio, angle of skew, and various ratios of bending and shearing stiffnesses.
