Abstract: The slipper pair accelerated degradation test has a long cycle time, high cost, a lack of mechanism explanation, and cannot illustrate the correspondence of wear-rate under different pressures, and there is an urgent need for a high-precision equivalent wear research method to provide theoretical support for the design of the test. A method for the slipper pair equivalent wear study is proposed by coupling the dynamic pressure lubrication model of the slipper pair with an accurate wear calculation model that considers the local wear characteristics and wear profile of the slipper bottom surface. The local characteristics of an oil film and change of wear profile are discussed, and the equivalent acceleration coefficients of different pressures are calculated based on 15 MPa, and the equivalent wear simulation experiments are carried out for long-time-low-pressure and short-time-high-pressure. The results show that the wear quality at 25 MPa and 31.5 MPa is comparable to the reference pressure of 15 MPa, and the errors are 0.09% and 0.03%, respectively, which verify the feasibility of the equivalent wear research method.
