ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Coupled Aerothermal Modeling of a Rotating Cavity With Radial Inflow
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Flow and heat transfer in an aeroengine compressor disk cavity with radial inflow has been studied using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), large eddy simulation (LES), and coupled fluid/solid modeling. Standalone CFD ...
Wall-Modeled Large Eddy Simulations of Axial Turbine Rim Sealing
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents wall-modeled large-eddy simulations (WMLES) of a chute-type turbine rim seal. Configurations with an axisymmetric annulus flow and with nozzle guide vanes fitted (but without rotor blades) are considered. ...
A Multifidelity Aero-Thermal Design Approach for Secondary Air Systems
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The paper presents a multidisciplinary approach for aero-thermal and heat transfer analysis for internal flows. The versatility and potential benefit offered by the approach are described through the application to a ...
