ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Leakage and Frictional Characteristics of Turbulent Helical Flow in Fine Clearance
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The leakage and frictional characteristics of helical flow in concentric cylinders with fine clearance have been studied for the ratio of clearance to radius from 0.0006 to 0.0127 and the ratio ...
Functional Dependence of Torque Coefficient of Coaxial Cylinders on Gap Width and Reynolds Numbers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Dimensional considerations on the torque coefficient of coaxial cylinders, inner one rotating and outer one at rest, result in the expression CM = f(T/Ri , Re) where Re is the Couette Reynolds ...
Natural Convection and Conduction in Porous Wall, Solar Collector Systems Without Vents
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Steady natural convection heat transfer has been studied in porous wall, solar collector systems. The boundary conditions were: two isothermal walls at different temperatures, two horizontal ...
Effects of Heat Intensity, Size, and Position of the Components on Temperature Distribution Within an Electronic PCB Enclosure
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Natural convection heat transfer has been studied in a sealed small PCB enclosure of three heated components which are mounted on a PCB plate within a large console cooled by vented airflow. ...
Nuclear Hydrogen Production Based on Sulfuric Acid Decomposition Process
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A thermochemical nuclear hydrogen producing process has been developed and evaluated from thermodynamics and engineering points of view. The cycle is based on sulfuric acid decomposition process ...
Natural Convection and Conduction in Massive Wall Solar Collectors With Honeycomb and Without Vents
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Steady heat transfer by natural convection and conduction is numerically studied in passive solar collector systems consisting of a massive wall with honeycomb structure and without vents. The ...
