description abstractThe sheet perforated with a uniform triangular pattern of round holes and subjected to in-plane stress of arbitrary biaxiality is investigated. Discontinuous fields of stress are employed to derive rigorous lower-bound limit stresses. Kinematically admissible velocity fields are also obtained, thus bounding the yield surface.
