description abstractThis paper highlights some results from experience with use of cascade technology in the design of diffusers for centrifugal compressors. The designs consisted of conformally transformed tandem blade-rows using 65-Series and double-circular-arc vane sections. Performance results are presented and comparisons to conventional diffuser data are made.
