description abstractHybrid energy systems normally comprise photovoltaic (PV) modules, diesel generator, a DC–DC converter with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control, a DC–AC inverter with pulse width modulation (PWM) controller and storage system. In this paper, interleaved converter with an hybrid perturb and observe (P&O) fuzzy MPPT technique was proposed to enhance the effectiveness of the hybrid system. The enactment of unipolar sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique and proportional integral (PI) controller enhances the performance of bidirectional Hbridge inverter by getting rid of lower order harmonics, which leads to least possible switching losses, thus improves the inverter efficiency.
