description abstractThe free-streamline flow past a symmetrical wedge in the presence of a longitudinal gravitational field is determined with a linearized theory. The proportions of the cavity depend upon the cavitation number and Froude number. The drag coefficient is likewise affected by gravity, though to a smaller extent.
