Introduction

Abstract

The following abstracts were presented as posters at the 2008 Design of Medical Devices conference held April 15–17, 2008 at the Radisson University Hotel, adjacent to the University of Minnesota campus. The conference brought together medical device designers, manufacturers, clinicians, academic researchers, and representatives from the public sector to share perspectives on medical devices. This leading international forum for medical devices included invited high quality technical submissions from the academic, clinical and industry medical device community. Contributed abstracts for the scientific poster session were peer reviewed and accepted in the following technical tracks: Cardiovascular, Neurotechnology, MEMS/Nano, Product and Business Development, Ophthalmic Engineering, Image-Guided Surgery, Dental Engineering, Biomaterials and Device Design.
