| description abstract | An experiment is described in which the motion of the supported mass was the main contributor to the generation of the squeeze film. An analysis was performed and a computer program written to predict the motion of the supported mass. Good agreement is shown between the analysis and the computer program and the experiment, except that two of the observed operation points cannot be verified. | |
