Abstract: At the Mechanisms and Robotics Awards Luncheon, held on Wednesday September 29, 2004, Dr. John J. Uicker, Jr., Professor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Wisconsin–Madison, received the 2004 Design Engineering Division, Mechanisms and Robotics Award. Upon receiving the award from Subash C. Sinha, Design Engineering Division Chair, Dr. Uicker made the following brief comments.
