description abstract | Lund set out to define the circumstances under which stable limit-cycle orbits could exist for the linearly unstable motion of a rigid rotor. He also examined the nature of these stable limit cycles when they are demonstrated to exist. He obviously succeeded in meeting both these objectives; however, Lund’s really remarkable and most useful contributions are covered “incidentally” in the course of developing his nonlinear analytical/computational solutions. | |
