Abstract: I would like to thank Drs. Justin Gao and Judy Vance for their services as Associate Editors of the Journal of Mechanical Design during the last three years. I am pleased to inform you of the recent appointments of three new Associate Editors: Dr. Linda C. Schmidt for Design Theory and Methodology, Drs. Gordon R. Pennock and Constantinos Mavroidis for Mechanisms and Robotics. All appointments are for a period of three years. Following are short biographical sketches of each new Associate Editor.
