| description abstract | Over the past twenty years, the ASME Journal of Solar Energy Engineering has prospered and grown to be one of the world’s most respected archival journals in the field of solar and renewable energy technologies. Much of the Journal’s success is due to the personal dedication and leadership of the two past Technical Editors. Professor Frank Kreith started the Journal under the auspices of the ASME Solar Energy Division in 1979 and served as the Technical Editor for the first ten years, the maximum time allowed. Dr. Kreith’s research on solar energy is internationally recognized and he has authored several heat transfer and solar energy textbooks. He received the ASME medal in 1998 and the John I. Yellott award in 1999 for his contributions to solar energy. | |
