description abstractThe equilibrium problem of nonstationary systems is studied. The starting point is the principle of virtual work (PVW). Contrary to stationary problems, some additional conditions (along with PVW) should be satisfied. Proof of Gantmacher’s postulate is derived. A new approach is given, and some results of other authors are discussed.
