| description abstract | In this paper, a method used to analyze the sloshing of liquid in a tank subjected to forced pitching and (or) yawing oscillation is presented. First, a variational principle for a liquid in a container under pitching and (or) yawing oscillation is proposed. Based on the preceding variational principle and new Lagrangian, the nonlinear sloshing of liquid in a circle cylindrical tank under pitching excitation is studied analytically for the first time. | |
