Abstract: Thermohydrodynamic Design Charts are developed for slider bearings that enable one to rapidly determine a conservative estimate for the bearing maximum temperature and a pertinent mean temperature from which all of the bearing performance parameters are computed. A number of examples are presented which illustrate the utility of the design charts.
