description abstractSeveral exhaust-emissions-based parameters were experimentally found to be good indicators for fuel maldistribution (both in-cylinder and cylinder-to-cylinder) in spark-ignition engines. The quality of combustion greatly affected these indicators, thus possibly limiting their applicability. Corrections were developed to desensitize these indicators to the quality of combustion.
