description abstractThis paper describes the theory of wave domain control for the reduced control design of plate systems. A transformation, which changes the original system into an image system in which the control force is designed in wave domain control and wave control, is proposed such that the number of degrees-of-freedom of the undisturbed state in its image system is reduced. The control design in the original system is then derived by an inverse transformation. This work focuses on, first, proposing a new wave control theory and, second, applying the theory for structural control design.
