Abstract: This paper presents the very first application of the differential quadrature method to the solution of steady-state incompressible and compressible lubrication problems. It is shown that the differential quadrature method is a numerically accurate and computationally efficient technique which can compete against existing methods in use for the solution of lubrication problems.
