    Abstract: An analytical method for the synthesis of planar four-bar path generator with specified inclinations of path tangents at two cusps has been presented here. Simplified equations based on the concept of kinematic inversion and cross-ratio have been derived for the design problem. The desired four-bar linkages have been synthesized directly by using these analytical equations.
